The new Microsoft headquarters in Rome is located in an area of strong building expansion southwest of the city. The building combines glass and steel facades with brick cladding, recalling Italian building tradition.
The interior design, by Goring & Straja studio, creates flexible work environments with spaces for individual concentration and numerous meeting areas and lounge zones. The large windows ensure bright environments and energy savings, maintaining maximum living comfort.
The shading system uses Verosol Silverscreen technology, which preserves the qualities of natural light while avoiding excessive thermal radiation and reflection on surfaces and monitors.

The new Alcatel-Lucent headquarters in Rome, designed by Progetto CMR studio, optimizes spaces through three types of offices. The open space operational area features four and two-seat ergonomic workstation islands, surrounded by meeting rooms convertible into closed offices. Service areas, equipped with free-standing furniture and mobile surfaces, encourage informal meetings between work groups.
Common areas, such as the cafeteria and lobby, are spacious and bright with colorful furniture and walls. Full-height perimeter windows ensure optimal natural lighting in all areas.
The Verosol Silverscreen solar shading system, designed by Omnitex, regulates light and thermal radiation while avoiding reflections on monitors and teleconference screens.
